New LED Lettering Job

Our production guys are currently working on a large pylon sign that features some of our LED lettering. I just thought it would be a good chance to snap some shots of the installation process. The letters are from fabricated acrylic, but most of the shots below show the letters without their acrylic covers so you can get a good look at the even distribution of the LED units. Just click on any of images below to see them larger:

This sign forms the top of the pylon. All the lettering is illuminated and you can see the even spacing and coverage of LEDs. Once the acrylic fabricated letters are on they will diffuse the light evenly. Just to give you an idea of scale, the sign is about 2 metres high.

Here's a shot of the "B" with and without the fabricated acrylic face. The face just screws into the side of the base for easy servicing - not that that should be a problem, as the LEDs are specified as lasting 100,000 hours.

The letters are simply bolted to the acrylic face of the sign and all wiring is concealed within the sign.

As soon as the job is finished and installed I'll post up some pictures showing the final results.
